Greenville Man Faces 10 Charges in Meriwether County Child Molestation Investigation
GREENVILLE, Ga. – A 58-year-old Greenville man has been arrested on 10 felony charges following a Georgia Bureau of Investigation probe into allegations of child molestation in Meriwether County.
The GBI identified the suspect as William Irving Nash, 58.
The investigation began Aug. 18 after the Meriwether County Sheriff’s Office asked the GBI to assist with a child molestation case involving Nash.
Investigators have not released information about when or where the suspected offenses occurred, the age of the child or children involved, or Nash’s relationship to them.
The investigation led agents to arrest Nash on Friday, Sept. 25.
Nash is charged with one count of aggravated child molestation, six counts of child molestation, one count of criminal attempt to commit rape, one count of criminal attempt to commit aggravated child molestation and one count of criminal attempt to commit child molestation.
He was booked into the Meriwether County Jail.
