Valdosta Police Hunt Dangerous Suspect in Shocking Child Sexual Assault Case
VALDOSTA, Ga. – The Valdosta Police Department is urgently asking for the public’s help in locating 37-year-old Dominique Antwand Sims, who has been identified as the suspect in a disturbing case involving the sexual assault of two children under the age of 18.
Detectives launched their investigation on January 25, 2026, after reports surfaced of child molestation occurring within the city limits. Preliminary findings indicated that the victims, both minors, were allegedly assaulted by someone known to them.
Working in close collaboration with the Child Advocacy Center, investigators conducted sensitive interviews with the children, which led to Sims being named as the offender. On January 30, authorities secured multiple felony arrest warrants against him, including:
- Aggravated sodomy
- Aggravated battery
- Two counts of child molestation
- Two counts of cruelty to children in the first degree
Sims’ current whereabouts are unknown, prompting police to issue a public appeal for information. He is described as an African American male, approximately 6 feet tall and 200 pounds, with multiple tattoos visible across his chest and throat.
Authorities are warning that Sims should be considered dangerous. Anyone who sees him or has information about his location is urged not to approach or attempt to apprehend him, but to call 911 immediately.
The investigation remains active, and officials indicate that Sims could face additional charges as evidence continues to be reviewed.
