Randy Thomas Bradford

On July 1, 2025, a jury found Randy Thomas Bradford, 46, of the Dallas area of Paulding County, guilty of Failing to Register as a Sex Offender. District Attorney Robert S. Lane announced the conviction, which stems from an investigation initiated by the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) on April 15, 2023.

Bradford has been legally required to register with the state sex offender registry since his conviction for a qualifying sex crime (Rape) in 2003.

During the two-day trial, the lead detective testified for the State, while Bradford testified in his own defense. After four hours of deliberation, the jury returned a guilty verdict on all charges.

“The goal of the sex offender registry is protection for the community and its members against offenders who have committed egregious offenses in their past, and hopefully, deter future crime. In order for the registry to be beneficial to those it’s intended to protect, offenders must comply. This defendant has repeatedly failed to register. I’m thankful to the jury for ensuring justice was served in this case for Paulding County,” said Assistant District Attorney Christina Morgan-Young, who prosecuted the case.

The Honorable T. David Lyles has scheduled sentencing for a later date. Bradford was remanded to the custody of the Paulding County Sheriff and transported to the Paulding County Jail, where he awaits sentencing.

District Attorney Robert S. Lane emphasized his office’s commitment to protecting children: “Children are the most vulnerable members of our society, and we must take every step and employ every tool at our disposal to protect them. My office is working closely with our law enforcement partners to make sure that future cases are thoroughly investigated so that abusers are held accountable, ensuring that our community is kept safe.”

The case was investigated by the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office and prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Christina Morgan-Young and Chief Assistant District Attorney Tom Cole from the Paulding Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office.
