Clayton County Police Seek Public’s Help Identifying Suspects in Two-Year-Old Shooting Case
Wanted: Marcus Brown

The Clayton County Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a remaining suspect and gathering more information regarding a shooting incident that occurred over two years ago and involved four victims.

Following an investigation into the shooting, detectives developed information identifying Lathurston Hoffler and Lamonta Thomas as suspects. Further investigation in December 2024 yielded enough evidence to implicate Hoffler, Lamonta Thomas, Marcus D. Brown, and one other unidentified male in the shootings. Arrest warrants were obtained for Hoffler, Brown, and Thomas on December 18, 2024.

Lamonta Thomas and Lathurston Hoffler are currently in custody. However, Marcus D. Brown remains at large, evading apprehension.

The Clayton County Police Department is urging anyone with information on the whereabouts of Marcus D. Brown to call 911 or submit a tip to Crime Stoppers Atlanta by calling 404-577-8477 or texting “CSGA” to 738477. Additionally, anyone with information that could help identify the fourth, unidentified suspect is also asked to contact Crime Stoppers Atlanta.
