Military Member Arrested in Kingsland for Child and Animal Cruelty

The City of Kingsland Police Department has arrested Christian M. Jones, an active duty member of the United States Military, following a Camden County DFCS referral regarding allegations of Cruelty to Children.
The Criminal Investigations Division launched an immediate investigation on April 24, 2025, which uncovered video evidence depicting the assault of a 3-year-old child. Further video evidence discovered during the investigation led to additional charges of Cruelty to Children 1st degree and three counts of Cruelty to Animals.
Jones was taken into custody and transported to the Camden County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center.
Chief of Police Evans emphasized the department’s commitment to child safety, stating, “The safety and well-being of the children in our community are our top priority. Behavior such as this is absolutely unacceptable and will not be tolerated. Those responsible will be held accountable and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
