Juvenile Arrested After Gunfire Incident in Glynn County

A juvenile has been arrested following a gunfire incident near Emanuel Avenue and Fifth Street on April 1, 2025. Glynn County Police officers responded around 1:25 p.m. after reports of gunshots in the area.
Upon arrival, officers located 23 spent shell casings in the backyard of a residence in the 3500 block of Norwich Street. Inside the home, police detained one adult and two juveniles for questioning. Investigators later determined that one of the juveniles had been in possession of a firearm and had discharged it in the backyard.
Detectives executed a search warrant on the residence, recovering a handgun with an unspent round chambered. The juvenile was arrested and charged with Reckless Conduct and Possession of a Handgun by a Person Under the Age of 18. The juvenile was transported to the Regional Youth Detention Center, and the parents have been notified.
