Dendrick Devonte Solomon has been sentenced to life in prison after pleading guilty to a 2010 rape, a crime solved through DNA evidence.

The Houston County court delivered the sentence on Thursday, March 19, 2025.

In 2010, Solomon, then 17 years old, broke into a Warner Robins home and brutally assaulted and raped a middle-aged woman. The case went cold for 13 years.

According to the Houston County District Attorney’s Office, the victim awoke to find Solomon in her living room. After she called out, Solomon attacked her, biting her finger, punching her face, and knocking her unconscious before sexually assaulting her. Solomon lived near the victim at the time of the crime.

Although Solomon fled the scene, investigators retained a DNA swab from under the victim’s fingernails, a potential trace of the perpetrator.

In August 2023, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) notified the Warner Robins Police Department that a CODIS match had been found, linking the DNA to Solomon. Subsequent testing confirmed the match.

Solomon pleaded guilty and was sentenced to life in prison.
