Suspect in Tulsa Homicide Arrested at DeKalb County Motel

DeKalb County S.W.A.T. officers arrested 40-year-old Jason Bowen, a suspect wanted in connection to the murder of Tevin Goff in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
According to an affidavit, Goff called his father on Sunday night, crying and saying he owed people money and someone was approaching him. The call then dropped. Hours later, Goff’s body and his burned vehicle were found.
Investigators say surveillance footage from a Tulsa convenience store showed Bowen getting into Goff’s car for about 30 minutes before leaving, then returning and driving away in Goff’s vehicle. Authorities say Bowen drove Goff to Wagoner County in Oklahoma, where he was seen on a trail camera burning Goff’s car. Goff’s body was discovered in a ditch nine miles away.
Police believe another man followed Bowen to Wagoner County in Oklahoma and took him back to Tulsa.
Records indicate Goff had recently been released from prison three months prior, and Bowen had been out of prison for less than a year after serving 16 years for robbery, stolen property, and drug-related charges.
Bowen was arrested at a motel in the 3700 block of Flat Shoals Road with assistance from DeKalb County S.W.A.T., K9, and Aerial Support units. His girlfriend, 34-year-old Trashawn Hick, was also taken into custody. Authorities reported finding weapons and drugs in the motel room.
Bowen was booked into the DeKalb County Jail and later turned over to the U.S. Marshals. Tulsa Police thanked DeKalb County Police for their assistance in the case.
