DeKalb Police Seize Drugs, Firearms and Cash After Disturbance Call

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. – A disturbance call led to the seizure of illegal drugs, firearms and cash after DeKalb County police obtained a search warrant for a residence, authorities said.

Officers with the DeKalb County Police Department responded to a report of a disturbance at a home on July 28.

According to police, several people fled the residence as officers arrived.

While clearing the home to ensure no one inside was injured or in danger, officers observed suspected illegal drugs and cash in plain view.

Detectives with the DeKalb County Police Department’s Vice and Narcotics Unit later obtained a search warrant for the residence.

During the search, investigators recovered illegal drugs, three firearms, cash and additional evidence related to the investigation.

Police have not announced any arrests or released the identities of those believed to be involved.

Investigators are continuing to identify the individuals connected to the case.
