Athens Man Arrested on Drug Trafficking Charges After Search of Two Residences

Dextrell Callaway, 55, of Athens, GA, has been arrested on drug trafficking charges following the execution of search warrants at two of his residences on February 18, 2025.

The Northeast Georgia Regional Drug Task Force conducted searches at residences in the 700 block of Mitchell Bridge Road and the 100 block of Cross Creek Place. Callaway was located and arrested at the Mitchell Bridge Road location, where he was found to be in possession of 1,000 grams of cocaine.

Inside Callaway’s residences, officers discovered manufacturing materials used for making, packaging, and distributing cocaine, as well as other controlled substances.

Callaway was charged with Trafficking Cocaine and Possession of Schedule I with Intent to Distribute.
