Fulton County Commissioner Dana Barrett of District 3 has been appointed to the National Association of Counties (NACo) Telecommunications & Technology (T&T) Policy Committee. In this role, she will collaborate with county leaders nationwide to address issues related to telecommunications and technology policy, including the county’s role as a regulator, service provider, and consumer; cable services; information technology; e-governance; and GIS data collection and utilization.

Commissioner Barrett expressed her commitment to digital equity, stating, “This new role builds on my focus to raise awareness on the importance of digital equity and technological resources for all residents.” She added, “I am humbled and honored to be able to work with colleagues from around the country to improve access to and regulation of technology.”

Since her election in November 2022, Commissioner Barrett has been dedicated to reducing the digital divide and enhancing technology resources for all residents. The Telecommunications & Technology committee comprises a Chair, eight Vice Chairs, and two subcommittees with associated leadership. Commissioner Barrett will serve as a committee member through July 31, 2025.
