Two Killed in Wrong-Way Crash on I-75 in Crisp County
A head-on collision on I-75 near mile post 103 left two people dead early Wednesday morning.
At approximately 1:00 AM on February 19, 2025, a vehicle traveling north in the southbound lane collided with a southbound vehicle. Just before the crash, a 911 call had been made reporting the wrong-way driver. Deputies searching for the vehicle came upon the wreckage moments later.
Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. The Crisp County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash with assistance from Crisp County Fire Rescue, Crisp County EMS, Cordele Police Department, and the Crisp County Coroner’s Office.
The identities of the victims have not yet been released pending further notification of family members.
