Two Suspects Wanted in Augusta Shooting, Considered Armed and Dangerous
On Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at 1:27 PM, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting on the 1900 block of Walker Street in Augusta. Upon arrival, deputies found an adult male victim who had been shot at least once. The victim was quickly transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The investigation has led authorities to identify two suspects who are now wanted in connection to the shooting. Trayvone David Cummings, 20, is described as 5’03”, 125 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. He is wanted on multiple warrants, including Murder and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime. Cummings is known to frequent the Harrisburg neighborhood near Walker Street and is considered armed and dangerous.
The second suspect, Damien Key, 19, is described as 5’09”, 125 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. Key is also known to frequent the area of the shooting and is considered armed and dangerous.
