Augusta Man Arrested, Charged With Seven Burglaries at Hephzibah Self-Storage Facility

AUGUSTA, Ga. – A Richmond County man has been arrested in connection with a series of burglaries at a self-storage facility in Hephzibah, according to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators with the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division, assisted by the agency’s SWAT Team, arrested Jeremy Robin Jaynes, 39, at his residence on Plantation Road without incident.

Jaynes has been charged with seven counts of Burglary.

Investigation Identified Suspect

According to investigators, the charges stem from multiple burglaries that occurred over the recent past at Brown Road Self Storage, located at 2241 Brown Road in Hephzibah.

CID investigators conducted an investigation into the break-ins and ultimately identified Jaynes as the suspect.

The Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team assisted investigators in safely taking Jaynes into custody at his home.

Additional Charges Possible

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office said the investigation remains active as detectives continue reviewing evidence related to the burglaries.
