Man Dies After Shooting in Downtown Augusta
On January 8, 2025, at approximately 3:23 PM, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of gunshots fired on the 700 Block of Broad Street in Augusta, GA. Upon arrival, deputies found a male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the chest. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
