Juveniles Apprehended After Vehicle Break-Ins in Crisp County

During the early morning hours of January 6, 2025, several vehicles were entered in the southern part of Cordele and the northern area of Crisp County, including the 27th, 29th, 30th, and 31st Streets. Cordele Police Department and Crisp County Deputies responded promptly to the area.

At approximately 2:30 AM, a Crisp County deputy spotted individuals climbing the fence at the old middle school. Officers established a containment perimeter and successfully apprehended the suspects, both juveniles. Sheriff’s Office investigators, using video evidence and a statement, detained the suspects on multiple charges.

The Crisp County Sheriff’s Office and Cordele Police Department will continue investigating. Authorities are requesting residents to provide any overnight video footage of suspicious activity. Law enforcement also thanked the homeowner who promptly called 911, aiding in the swift response.
