Dispute at Atlanta Bar Ends in Gunfire, One Dead, Two Injured

On January 1, 2025, at approximately 3:15 a.m., Atlanta Police Zone 3 officers responded to reports of a shooting at Lacura Bar and Bistro, located at 1919 Metropolitan Parkway SW.

Upon arrival, officers found a 48-year-old male and a 41-year-old male with gunshot wounds. Both were transported to a local hospital in stable condition by EMS.

A third victim, identified as a 28-year-old male, was privately transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Preliminary investigations indicate the deceased and a suspect were involved in a dispute inside the bar. Security personnel removed the individuals outside, where the altercation escalated to gunfire.

The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
