Murder Suspect Arrested for Fatal Stabbing at Atlanta Transition Home

On November 19th, 2024, Damion Bradberry, 34, was arrested in connection with a homicide that occurred the previous day at the Phoenix House, a housing complex for formerly homeless individuals with mental illness, located at 1296 Murphy Avenue SW in the Capitol View area.

Bradberry faces charges of Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Knife During the Commission of a Felony. He was transported to the Fulton County Jail for processing.

The incident occurred on November 18th, 2024, around 4:45 PM, when officers responded to a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, they found a male victim with apparent stab wounds. The victim, who was in critical condition, was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel shortly afterward.
