Fatal Collision on Cobb Parkway Involves Motorcycle and SUV; Investigation Underway

On October 28, 2024, the Cobb County Police Department’s S.T.E.P. Unit is assisting Acworth Police in investigating a fatal motorcycle collision that occurred on Cobb Parkway near Lake Acworth Drive at approximately 2:42 PM.

Preliminary information indicates a 25-year-old from White was traveling south on a Kawasaki motorcycle when it collided with a Toyota RAV4 driven by a 74-year-old from Acworth. Both vehicles attempted a lane change, resulting in the motorcycle striking the rear of the RAV4. The motorcyclist was transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. The RAV4 driver was uninjured.
