Macon Celebrates a Decade of Boxing at Freedom Park’s 10th Annual Belt Show
Approximately 40 boxers from across Georgia are set to compete at Freedom Park’s United Boxing Club, located at 3301 Roff Avenue, on Saturday, September 21. The event marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt Show and is scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m.
“This tournament shows the community that it’s more than just football, basketball, and baseball,” said Freedom Park Center Supervisor James Hand. “Boxing helps build confidence. We have these tournaments to showcase the growth of boxing and how much it can contribute to our community.”
Admission to the event is priced at $20, with free entry for children under 5 years old. Food and drinks will be available for purchase outside the Center.
Hand noted, “We receive recognition and appreciation from around the nation and brought a national champion back to Macon. That shows how much Macon boxing has grown.”
