Vehicle Running Red Light Hits Lawrenceville Police Unit

On August 12 at 9:40 PM, a Lawrenceville Police Officer was traveling eastbound on E. Crogan Street and making a left turn onto Scenic Highway when a vehicle traveling northbound on Scenic Highway failed to stop at a red traffic light and struck the patrol car. The impact caused the second vehicle to flip. The Officer was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was treated and subsequently released. The driver of the other vehicle was uninjured.

“This is a reminder of the importance of obeying the rules of the road and to avoid distracting driving.”, said the LPD in a statement.
