Male Subject Fatally Shot in Augusta: Investigation Ongoing

In the early hours of Thursday, July 25, at approximately 12:52 am, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call regarding a suspicious situation in the 700 block of East Chapman Street in Augusta.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered a male subject who had been shot at least once. The injured individual was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, the male subject later succumbed to his injuries.
