Two Arrested in Elder Abuse Investigation in Toccoa

In Toccoa, Georgia, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has made significant progress in an elder abuse investigation. Two individuals have been apprehended in connection with the case. Daniel Bennett, aged 58, from Toccoa, was arrested back in February 2024, while Jeffrey Roberts, aged 74, also from Toccoa, was detained this month, May 2024. Both face charges of neglecting a disabled adult, elder person, or resident. These arrests follow accusations of elder exploitation and neglect.
