Albany Police Seek Public’s Help in Locating Wanted Felon

The Albany Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Bureau is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Bennie Ed Toye Jr, a 37-year-old wanted for Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Obstruction of a Law Enforcement Officer.

Toye’s last known address is in the 800 block of W. 1st Ave. He is described as 5’7″ tall, weighing 135 pounds.

According to authorities, Toye disregarded officers’ lawful commands to remain at an accident scene. Subsequently, it was discovered that Toye, a convicted felon, was in possession of a firearm.
