Albany Police Seek Public Assistance in Locating Woman Wanted for Child Abandonment

The Albany Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Bureau is seeking the public’s help in locating Beashean Shanea Roberts, aged 36, wanted for the charge of Child Abandonment.

Roberts’ last known address is in the 1500 block of Elva St, Albany, Georgia 31705. She is described as being 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing 139 pounds.

According to authorities, Roberts abandoned her 14-year-old son on March 30, 2024, and failed to retrieve him when contacted. As a result, the teenager was taken into custody by the Department of Family and Children Services (DFACS).
