Two Dead, One Injured in Early Morning Shooting in Columbus

At approximately 1:01 a.m. on Sunday morning, Columbus Police Officers rushed to the scene in the 2800 block of Tenth Street following reports of gunshots fired. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim, later identified as Chris Collins, lying lifeless in the roadway.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel responded but were unable to revive Collins. Deputy Coroner Ben Saxon officially pronounced him deceased at 1:50 a.m.

In addition to Collins, two females were reported to be involved in the incident. Jania Mobley was found at the scene and was pronounced dead at 1:39 a.m. by an emergency room doctor. Angel King, the other female involved, was transported to the hospital via private vehicle and is currently undergoing treatment for her injuries.
