Fourth Arrest Made by Bibb County Authorities in February Murder on Jeffersonville Road
In a joint effort by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Gang Unit, Drug Unit, U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Taskforce, and the Federal Bureau of Investigations Safe Streets Gang Task Force, a fourth arrest has been made in connection with a death investigation on Jeffersonville Road.
19-year-old Frederick Lewis Hill Jr. of Macon was apprehended on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, just before 10:00 a.m. Hill Jr. was wanted in Bibb County for his alleged involvement in the death of Cortavius Hassan Ates on February 10, 2024.
Hill Jr. was taken into custody following the successful execution of a search and arrest warrant at a residence within the 2200 block of Gray Highway. He was then transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Headquarters for further questioning before being moved to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
Facing charges of Aggravated Assault, Participation in Criminal Street Gang Activity, and Murder, Frederick Lewis Hill Jr. remains without bond.
The other three charged with the same murder are Kendarrious Rayshun Cone, Marion Antonio Curry, and Shamar Tyrell Stewart.
