Teenager Injured in Shooting Incident on Polar Rock Road in Atlanta
On February 22nd, 2024, at around 11:07 PM, law enforcement officers were called to 268 Polar Rock Road SW following reports of a shooting incident involving a teenager.
Upon reaching the scene, authorities discovered a 17-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound to his right ankle. Despite the injury, the victim remained conscious and was breathing. He was transported to the hospital for medical attention.
Initial investigations suggest that the victim was targeted by a known individual who fled the area before the arrival of law enforcement. The suspect’s identity and whereabouts remain unknown. In response to the incident, the Aggravated Assault Unit has deployed investigators to aid in the ongoing investigation.
As of now, authorities continue to piece together the events surrounding the shooting.
