Macon-Bibb County Fire Department Members Honored by Georgia State Firefighters Association
Members of the Macon-Bibb County Fire Department were celebrated at the State Capital on Tuesday, February 6, by the Georgia State Firefighters Association (GSFA) for their exceptional service and commitment to the community.
Fire Chief Shane Edwards expressed his pride, stating, “I am so proud of all of our firefighters who continue to go above and beyond to serve not only this great fire department, but also the outstanding citizens in our community.”
Among the honorees, Firefighter Robert Husted received the esteemed GSFA Rookie Firefighter of the Year award, recognizing his outstanding dedication and performance.
Sergeant Carell Rembert Sr. was acknowledged as the GSFA Educator of the Year for his unwavering commitment to fire safety education.
Lieutenant Arthur Parker was named the GSFA Instructor of the Year for his exemplary leadership in training the team, while Lieutenant Joshua Brewer was honored as the GSFA Company Officer of the Year for his exceptional leadership and dedication.
The Georgia State Firefighters Association (GSFA), established in 1952, stands as the largest and oldest fire service organization in the State of Georgia. It provides members with vital resources for information, communication, and representation on both state and national levels.
