Flowery Branch Home Destroyed in Late-Night Fire

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. – A two-story home in Flowery Branch was destroyed by a late-night fire after a neighbor spotted flames coming from the residence and called for help, according to Hall County Fire Rescue.

Firefighters were dispatched to the residential structure fire at approximately 10:42 p.m. after receiving a report from a neighbor who saw flames coming from the home.

Hall County Fire Rescue Engine 8 arrived at approximately 10:49 p.m. and found a small, two-story residence with a basement burning at the rear of the structure.

Officials said the fire had extended between the first and second floors and into the attic.

Firefighters Battle Flames Through Multiple Floors

Firefighters immediately deployed hose lines to attack the main body of the fire and prevent it from spreading further.

As additional crews arrived, firefighters took more hose lines inside the residence and worked through the first floor, second floor and attic to locate and extinguish areas where the fire had spread.

Crews also used positive-pressure ventilation fans to clear smoke from the house and improve conditions for firefighters working inside.

All of the home’s occupants were able to escape before firefighters arrived.

Fire crews conducted both primary and secondary searches of the residence and confirmed that no one remained inside. No injuries were reported.

Despite firefighters’ efforts, authorities said the residence is considered a total loss.

The cause of the fire has not been determined. The Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating what sparked the blaze.
