Hall County Investigators Searching for Murder Suspect Following Fatal Convenience Store Shooting

OAKWOOD, Ga. – Hall County investigators are asking for the public’s help in locating a man accused of fatally shooting a woman at an Oakwood convenience store and who remains at large.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office identified the suspect as 45-year-old Antwane Sintell Thurmond of Oakwood.

Investigators have obtained warrants charging Thurmond with malice murder, felony murder and aggravated assault under the Family Violence Act in the July 16 shooting death of 44-year-old Tia Vidon Keith.

According to the sheriff’s office, Keith was shot Thursday night at the Subhanallah Food Mart on Mountain View Road. Investigators said Thurmond is the victim’s former live-in boyfriend.

Since the shooting, investigators, patrol deputies and members of the Sheriff’s Office Warrant Service Unit, along with several assisting law enforcement agencies, have been working to track Thurmond’s movements.

Authorities said the vehicle Thurmond allegedly used to flee the scene has been recovered. Investigators also executed a search warrant at a residence in the Metro Atlanta area, where they recovered evidence related to the investigation. However, Thurmond was not found, and investigators believe he continues to move between locations to avoid capture.

The sheriff’s office said investigators do not know what type of vehicle Thurmond may currently be driving.

Thurmond is described as being 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing approximately 212 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He has multiple tattoos, including one on his neck that reads “ROMANS 12:19.” Authorities also said he has a prosthetic lower left leg and walks with a slight limp.

Investigators consider Thurmond to be armed and dangerous.
