Woman Charged With Murder After Man Dies From Injuries in Douglasville Domestic Incident
DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. – A woman has been charged with murder after a man died from injuries sustained during a domestic-related incident Thursday in Douglasville, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to a 911 call at approximately 6088 Lancelot Lane on July 23 after receiving reports of a domestic disturbance.
When deputies arrived, they found an adult man unconscious in the front yard of the residence with what authorities described as apparent traumatic injuries. According to a police report, the victim was stabbed in the back multiple times.
Deputies immediately began life-saving measures until emergency medical personnel arrived and took over treatment. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene and assumed responsibility for the investigation.
Authorities said an adult female was taken into custody at the scene and has been charged with murder and aggravated assault. The suspect arrested was identified as 36-year-old Denielle Nicole Johnson. She is being held after bond was denied.
No additional details regarding the circumstances that led to the incident have been released.
