Convicted Felon Arrested in Macon on Domestic Violence After Punching Woman in the Face
MACON, Ga. — A convicted felon was arrested following a domestic violence investigation that led deputies to recover a firearm and marijuana at an apartment complex off Forest Hill Road, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

On Thursday night, June 11th, deputies responded to a reported domestic dispute and later located the suspect at a nearby apartment complex.
According to an incident report, investigators determined the suspect punched a woman in the face during an argument while children were present.
Deputies took the suspect into custody without incident.
Authorities said the investigation resulted in multiple charges, including Battery-Family Violence, two counts of Cruelty to Children in the Third Degree-Family Violence, Possession of Marijuana Greater Than One Ounce, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
The suspect was identified as 23-year-old Victor Lashon Mays Jr.
The suspect was transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center for processing and was booked at 3:11 am on Friday, June 12th.
Mays has a history of arrest. In April 2024, he was arrested in Macon and charged with Battery, Terroristic Threats/Acts and a Probation Violation for a previous conviction. In July 2023, he was arrested in Fulton County for Failure to Appear for a court hearing. In September 2022, he was arrested by Bibb County deputies and charged with Willful Obstruction of Law Enforcement Officers and Possession of Sawed-off Shotgun, Sawed-off Rifle, Machine Gun and Dangerous Weapons.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the incident.
