Lawyer Jailed After Smuggling Drug-Soaked Documents into Bibb County Jail
MACON, Ga. — An attorney has been arrested following a drug investigation at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation began April 25 after corrections deputies discovered documents inside an envelope that appeared to be soaked in a substance believed to be K2, a Schedule I controlled substance. The material was collected and sent to a crime lab for analysis.
The case was referred to the Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit, which determined the envelope had been brought into the facility by attorney Kevin Paul Bradley, aged 60.
Warrants were issued, and Bradley was taken into custody May 5 around noon. He was transported to the Criminal Investigation Division and later booked into the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
Bradley is charged with possession of a Schedule I controlled substance with intent to distribute and crossing guard lines with drugs without consent. He is currently being held without bond.
Sheriff David J. Davis said the arrest underscores the agency’s commitment to jail security.
“This arrest demonstrates our commitment to maintaining the integrity and security of the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. Introducing illegal substances into a correctional facility—by anyone, under any circumstance—will not be tolerated,” Davis said.
Officials said the investigation remains active, and additional information may be released as it becomes available.
