Jail Kitchen Worker Arrested in Troup County Contraband Smuggling Scheme
TROUP COUNTY, Ga. — A contracted kitchen worker at the county jail has been arrested following an investigation into a scheme to smuggle contraband to inmates.
According to the Troup County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division, the investigation found that Eugenia A. Watson of LaGrange conspired with others to distribute marijuana, K2 strips and cigarettes to an inmate worker inside the jail.
Watson has been charged with conspiracy to commit crossing the guard lines with drugs and conspiracy to commit items prohibited for possession by inmates.
Authorities said inmate Christopher Barnard Hill was also charged with conspiracy to commit crossing the guard lines and conspiracy to possess prohibited items.
A third suspect, Quincy Jermon Hill, is wanted in connection with the case. Officials said his whereabouts are currently unknown and are asking for the public’s help in locating him.

Sheriff James Woodruff said the agency has zero tolerance for attempts to bring contraband into the jail and warned that anyone involved will face full prosecution.
