One Dead, Two Injured in Early-Morning Shooting in Cordele
CORDELE, GA – One man is dead and two others were injured following a shooting early Saturday morning in Cordele, according to the Cordele Police Department.
Just before 2 a.m. on Saturday, December 20, officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 500 block of West 15th Avenue. When officers arrived, they located three adult male victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
Two of the victims were transported to Crisp Regional Hospital, where law enforcement later made contact with them. A third adult male victim was found at the scene. Despite officers providing lifesaving measures, that victim was pronounced deceased.
The Cordele Police Department Criminal Investigation Division is actively investigating the incident and is working closely with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to determine the circumstances that led to the shooting.
Police thanked the Crisp County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance and support during the response.
