Two Dead After Domestic Shooting in Powder Springs; Suspect Detained

Powder Springs, GA – A domestic incident turned deadly Saturday afternoon after two adults were found shot inside a home on Yoshino Terrace.

Around 12:30 p.m. on December 6, 2025, Powder Springs police officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 3200 block of Yoshino Terrace. When officers arrived, they found two victims, both approximately 75 years old, suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers provided immediate medical aid until EMS arrived.

The victims were transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition but later died from their injuries.

A 31-year-old male resident of the home was taken into custody without further incident. Investigators believe the shooting was isolated to the residence and say there is no ongoing threat to the community.

The case remains under active investigation, and no further details have been released.
