Third Suspect Charged in 2024 Highway 204 Homicide

CHATHAM COUNTY, GA — A third suspect has been charged in connection with a deadly shooting that occurred more than a year ago on Highway 204.
The Chatham County Police Department announced that 23-year-old Tyree King has been charged with murder and aggravated assault in the killing of 25-year-old Tre’von Moorer. Moorer was shot while driving on Highway 204 near Interstate 95 on July 25, 2024, after being confronted by armed individuals.
King was taken into custody late Wednesday and booked into the Chatham County Detention Center.
Earlier this month, on August 1, 2025, detectives charged twin brothers 24-year-old Jamond Reid and 24-year-old Jatwone Reid with one count of murder and two counts of aggravated assault each in the same case.
The investigation, which involved assistance from the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the Savannah Police Department, remains ongoing.
The Chatham County Police Department said no further details will be released at this time.
