Window Tint Violation Leads to Major Drug and Gun Seizure in Crisp County

A routine traffic stop for a window tint violation in Crisp County on Monday afternoon led to the arrest of a Centerville man and the seizure of a significant quantity of drugs, a loaded handgun, and cash.
On May 20, 2025, at approximately 3:15 p.m., a Crisp County Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of 22nd Avenue and 9th Street. Upon contacting the driver, identified as Javin Olds, the deputy noticed a strong odor of marijuana and observed that Olds’ seatbelt was improperly buckled behind his back.
Once a backup unit arrived, a search of the vehicle was conducted. The search yielded a large bag containing several smaller bags of marijuana, a loaded handgun, a pill bottle without a label containing white and orange pills, and a significant amount of U.S. currency.
Javin Olds, 32, of Centerville, GA, was arrested and transported to the Crisp County Jail. He faces numerous charges, including:
- 3 counts – Possession of Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute
- Possession of Marijuana
- 2 counts – Possession of Controlled Substance
- Possession of Firearm/Knife During Crime
- Possession of Tools for Commission of a Crime
- 2 counts – Drugs Not in Original Container
- Window Tint Violation
- Seatbelt Violation
