Marietta Police Investigate Apartment Complex Shooting, Pursuit Ends in Crash

Marietta Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred at the apartment complex located at 425 Williams Drive on Wednesday night, April 9, 2025, just after 10:00 PM. Officers responded to multiple reports of gunfire, with at least one caller stating that bullets entered their apartment but did not strike anyone.
Witnesses provided a description of a vehicle fleeing the scene, a black BMW sedan. Marietta officers located the suspect vehicle nearby and initiated a pursuit. The chase ended at the intersection of Polk Street and Mountain View Road when the BMW lost control, left the roadway, struck a power pole, and overturned. All five male occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody for questioning. Authorities recovered multiple handguns and a rifle from the crash scene.
While the pursuit was underway, several individuals from the apartment complex shooting arrived at Kennestone Hospital in multiple vehicles. Two of these individuals were suffering from gunshot wounds. Multiple witnesses and potential involved parties have been identified and are currently being interviewed by investigators. Officers are also conducting a thorough search of the apartment complex to identify any additional victims and assess the extent of the damage caused by the gunfire. Police have confirmed that multiple vehicles and apartments sustained damage.
At this early stage of the investigation, it remains unclear whether all individuals involved in the gunfire exchange at 425 Williams Drive are in custody. A total of eight individuals have been brought to Marietta Police Department headquarters for questioning as investigators work to piece together the events and determine the involvement of everyone present.
