Two Men Arrested for Criminal Trespass and Loitering Behind Crisp County Home

On January 12, 2025, at approximately 6:30 p.m., deputies from the Crisp County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of criminal trespass at a property on Lincolm Pinch Way in Cordele.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered two men, identified as Manuel Harden, 51, and Jerome Brown, 58, parked in a U-Haul truck behind a newly constructed residence. The homeowner confirmed that no one was authorized to be on the property.

Harden claimed they were contractors inspecting the lake view, but both men were detained after the explanation was deemed suspicious. While being placed under arrest for loitering, Harden reportedly resisted by yelling, pulling his arms away, and trying to turn from deputies.

Both individuals were transported to the Crisp County Detention Center. Investigations revealed extensive criminal histories for both men.

Harden faces charges of Obstructing or Hindering Law Enforcement, Criminal Trespass, and Loitering. Brown is charged with Criminal Trespass and Loitering.

CCSO expressed gratitude to a vigilant neighbor who noticed the suspicious activity and contacted the homeowner. The investigation remains ongoing.
