Atlanta’s Top 10 Most Wanted Homicide Suspect Arrested in Joint Operation

Corey Comer, a 20-year-old suspect on Atlanta Police Department’s Most Wanted list, was arrested on December 27, 2024, for his alleged involvement in two homicides.

Comer is accused of participating in a homicide at 47 Cleveland Avenue SW on May 6, 2024, where 37-year-old Douglas Banks was found in critical condition from gunshot wounds. Banks later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. Comer is also linked to a second homicide that occurred at 183 Mount Zion Road SE on November 17, 2024. He had been on the Most Wanted list since November 27, 2024.

The arrest was the result of a coordinated operation involving the Fugitive Unit, S.W.A.T., A.P.E.X., A.C.E., Gangs Unit, Drone Unit, and Zone 1 and 4 Crime Suppression Units.

Comer is facing charges of Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony.
