Teen Injured in Shooting at Savannah Apartment Complex

CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. — A 17-year-old was hospitalized Thursday night after a shooting at the King George Apartments in the Georgetown area, according to the Chatham County Police Department.

Officers responded shortly after 9:30 p.m. on May 14, 2026, to the 100 block of Prince Royal Lane in Savannah following reports of gunfire.

When officers arrived, they located a 17-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. Authorities said the injuries were not considered life-threatening.

The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment.

Police said officers and detectives secured evidence at the scene and conducted interviews as part of the investigation.

No arrests have been announced, and investigators described the case as active and ongoing.
