AUGUSTA, Ga. — A 27-year-old mother has been charged after a 10-year-old child was shot inside a vehicle parked outside an Augusta convenience store, according to authorities.
Richmond County deputies responded at approximately 2:16 p.m. April 21, 2026, to Super Express at 1237 Gordon Highway after reports of gunfire involving a juvenile victim.
When deputies arrived, they found a 10-year-old who had suffered at least one gunshot wound.
