Four Arrested in Major Child Exploitation and Trafficking Case in Middle Georgia

EMANUEL COUNTY, Ga. – District Attorney Tripp Fitzner and Sheriff Brewer announced the arrests and filing of a federal criminal complaint against four individuals in a multi-jurisdictional child exploitation and trafficking case.

The arrests were the result of a coordinated investigation involving the District Attorney’s Office for the Middle Judicial Circuit of Georgia, the Emanuel County Sheriff’s Office, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and other law enforcement agencies.

The four subjects now face serious federal charges:

  • Jhirmichael Williams, 34 (Male)
  • Bryon Willis, 53 (Male)
  • Samantha Reese, 35 (Female)
  • Samantha Bradford, 30 (Female)

Details of the Allegations

The investigation began after the District Attorney’s office reviewed evidence from a search warrant executed on a cell phone belonging to Bryon Willis, which contained graphic child exploitation material. Willis was initially charged with the sexual exploitation of children, but the scope of the case quickly widened.

District Attorney Fitzner contacted U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Georgia Meg Heap, quickly elevating the case to the federal level due to its complexity and multi-jurisdictional nature.

Jhirmichael Williams, the father of one of the victims, is accused of engaging in sex trafficking and coercion involving his own child, including financing and coordinating sexual acts with the minor for sexual gratification.

Samantha Reese stated in interviews that Williams had coerced and forced her and others to engage in sexual acts with minors. She also identified Samantha Bradford, who is believed to have assisted in the production of child exploitation materials.

Williams allegedly used his phone to record several instances of child sexual abuse and then used those videos to blackmail those involved.

Federal Charges

The charges filed against the individuals are based on evidence including video recordings, images, text message communications, and victim testimonies. The federal charges include:

  • Sex trafficking of minors (18 U.S.C. § 1591)
  • Production of child pornography (18 U.S.C. § 2251)
  • Possession of child pornography (18 U.S.C. § 2252)
  • Enticement and attempted enticement of minors (18 U.S.C. § 2422(b))
  • Aiding and abetting the production and distribution of child pornography (18 U.S.C. § 2)

The investigation is ongoing.
