Fourth Suspect Arrested in Carrollton Homicide That Left One Dead, Two Injured
CARROLLTON, GA – Carrollton Police have announced a fourth arrest in connection with a weekend shooting that left one woman dead and two others injured.
On Sunday, November 2nd, around 1:30 a.m., officers responded to reports of a fight that escalated into gunfire near 6th Street in Carrollton. When officers arrived, they discovered three people had been shot.
One victim, identified as 26-year-old Lareon Brown of Carrollton, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two additional victims — one transported by EMS and another driven privately — were taken to hospitals in the Atlanta area for treatment.
By Sunday afternoon, investigators had already taken three suspects into custody. Cyntez Worthy, 23, and Jamine Hutchinson, 31, both of Villa Rica, and Zontavius Vaughn, 26, of Carrollton, were each charged with Felony Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime.
On Wednesday, November 5th, police announced a fourth arrest. Geriguez Shadrion Lowery, 34, of Carrollton, faces the same charges in connection with the killing.
