Valdosta Police Investigate High School Fight Caught on Video

The Valdosta Police Department is investigating a physical altercation involving several juvenile females that took place on Wednesday afternoon, October 22nd, at Valdosta High School.

According to police, School Resource Officers (SROs) responded immediately to break up the fight, which has since circulated widely on social media. Officers are now working with school administrators to identify everyone involved.

Some of the juveniles were arrested at the scene, and police say no serious injuries were reported. Because the individuals involved are minors, their names will not be released. Additional charges may follow as the investigation continues.

Police Chief Leslie Manahan acknowledged the community’s concern over the videos, stating:

“We understand that videos like these will cause concern with parents in our community. We want to assure everyone that the altercation will be thoroughly investigated. Our priority is the safety and well-being of all the students, and we are working closely with Valdosta City Schools to ensure a safe learning environment.”
