Known Gang Member Arrested in North Georgia for Aggravated Assault and Meth Trafficking; Another Suspect Wanted
On May 12th, 2025, the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) arrested Armondo Campos in connection with a shooting that occurred earlier this week. Investigators executed a search warrant at a location where Campos was found by patrol units. During the search, investigators located 464 grams (16.5 ounces) of Methamphetamine.
Armondo Campos is currently in custody at the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office facing the following charges under Georgia law:
- O.C.G.A. 16-5-21 Aggravated Assault (10 Counts)
- O.C.G.A. 16-11-131 Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
- O.C.G.A. 16-13-31(e)(3) Trafficking Methamphetamine
- O.C.G.A. 16-13-30 Possession with Intent to Distribute
- O.C.G.A. 16-13-32.2 Possession of Drug Related Objects
- O.C.G.A. 16-10-94 Tampering with Evidence
The Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office has also obtained warrants for Isaias Moreno Jr. in connection with the same case. Moreno Jr. is wanted on the following charges:
- O.C.G.A. 16-5-21 Aggravated Assault (10 Counts)
- O.C.G.A. 16-11-131 Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
- O.C.G.A. 16-13-30(a)(2) Possession of Methamphetamine
- O.C.G.A. 16-13-31(e)(3) Trafficking Methamphetamine
- O.C.G.A. 16-13-30 Possession with Intent to Distribute
- O.C.G.A. 40-6-395(b)(5)(A) Fleeing/Attempting to Elude for a Felony Offense
The Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of Isaias Moreno Jr. to contact them via email at wcsoinfo@whitfieldcountyga.com or by phone at (706) 278-3029. Authorities are advising the public not to approach Moreno Jr. if contact is made, but instead to dial 911 immediately.
