Woman Shot in Critical Condition at Macon Home on Carlisle Avenue

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating an aggravated assault incident that occurred at a residence in the 1000 block of Carlisle Ave just after 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Deputies responded to a call reporting a person shot and upon arrival located a female victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics transported the injured woman to a local hospital, where she is currently listed in critical but stable condition.

Investigators are in the early stages of their inquiry and are working to determine the circumstances that led to the shooting. No suspect information or potential motives have been released at this time.
