Bibb County Authorities Apprehend Fleeing Suspect in Stolen Mercedes
A suspect fleeing in a stolen Mercedes was taken into custody off Hawkinsville Road thanks to the collaborative efforts of the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office S.R.T. Unit deputies and the Georgia State Patrol.
Following a brief pursuit, authorities forcibly stopped the vehicle and removed the suspect. The driver was transported to a local hospital for evaluation before being taken to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center.
The suspect is expected to face multiple charges, including theft by receiving stolen property, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, and willful obstruction of law enforcement officers by use of threats or violence.
